Where,

Solution:
Given that
Grade neeraj want for the class = G = 80%
Current grade in statistics C = 65%
weight of the final exam w = 50/100 = 0.5
Final grade formula is
F = (G - ((1 - w) x C)) / w
Substitute all the above values in the formula
F = (80 - (1 - 0.5) x 65)) / 0.5
= (80 - (0.5 x 65) / 0.5
= (80 - 32.5) / 0.5
= 47.5 / 0.5
= 95
∴ Neeraj need to score 95 on the final exam if it is worth 50% of his grade.
